Ahead of the 2021 edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), one of the most successful franchises, five-time champion Guyana Amazon Warriors has released their list of retained and released players. With their decision, the franchise has raised many eyebrows as they released some key players from their squad.

Guyana Amazon Warriors released as many as six players while retaining eleven from the previous edition. One of the biggest names to have been released is the skipper Chris Green. Other notable omissions are Ross Taylor, Keemo Paul, and Sherfane Rutherford.

However, Chris Green came as a shocker as Green experienced a brilliant ride in the previous edition both as a captain and bowler.

Chris Green was one of the top bowlers for the Guyana Amazon Warriors as he picked a nine wickets from 11 matches at a stunning economy rate of 5.68. Further, under the leadership of Green, Guyana Amazon Warriors reached the semi-finals.
