'Happy birthday my love' - KL Rahul posts an adorable wish for his girlfriend Athiya Shetty on Instagram

Indian cricketer KL Rahul wished his girlfriend Athiya Shetty on her 29th birthday with a wonderful message on Instagram. Athiya is the daughter of veteran actor Sunil Shetty.

Rahul took to Instagram and posted a picture of both him and his girlfriend. He also captioned the post ‘Happy birthday my love’. At the time of writing, this post has garnered over 16 Lakh likes.

Athiya Shetty shares her birthday with Indian skipper Virat Kohli

Athiya Shetty shares her birthday with Indian skipper and batting legend Virat Kohli. Kohli turned 33 on 5th November 2021, on the same day that Shetty turned 29 and the Indian players and support staff celebrated the birthday of the cricket legend in the dressing room after the match between India and Scotland.

KL Rahul played a key role in India’s victory over Scotland. The Scotland side produced an abysmal performance with the willow and was bowled out for just 85. In reply, KL Rahul annihilated the opposition.

In an innings that lasted 19 balls, Rahul scored 50 at the top of the order. The right-hander’s innings was embellished with 6 fours and 3 sixes. In a sense, it was the perfect birthday gift that Rahul could give both his girlfriend as well as his captain.

KL Rahul is the 4th highest run-scorer for the Indian side in T20I cricket and has amassed 1697 runs in 49 innings at an average of close to 40 and a strike rate of 143.08. The flamboyant batsman has also struck 14 fifties and 2 hundreds in the T20I format of the game as well.

The Indian side will play its final match of the Super 12 stages of the tournament on 8th November 2021 against the Namibia side. Virat Kohli and his men are stationed at third place in the points table in Group 2.
