Virat Kohli wouldn’t have asked for a better birthday gift as India recorded another emphatic win, keeping their chances of qualifying for the T20 World Cup 2021 semi-finals alive. Scotland were the latest to go down against the Men in Blue. It was a one-sided game as the Scottish side never really looked in the hunt. While they got skittled out for 85, the inaugural-season champions crossed the line in mere 6.3 overs.

Speaking of how the game panned out, Kohli finally won the toss and unsurprisingly opted to bowl at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Indian bowlers were on the money straightaway as Scotland were on the back foot right from the outset. While George Munsey and Michael Leask played handy knocks, they didn’t get support from their teammates.

As a result, Scotland were skittled out for a mediocre total. Just as expected, Indian openers came all guns blazing to bolster their net run rate. While Rohit Sharma scored a quickfire 30, KL Rahul slammed a quickfire half-century. As a result, India crossed the line in mere 6.5 overs.
