Ambati Rayudu, the Indian cricketer who has been in headlines in past few months, turned 34 on Monday. On 23rd September, birthday wishes were poured from the cricket fraternity and his friends but Harbhajan Singh came out with a funny tweet wishing his fellow Chennai Super Kings teammate. Harbhajan and Rayudu have played together for the same team in the IPL since the inception of the tournament and have won four titles each – three with Mumbai Indians and one with Chennai Super Kings.

Rayudu had recently announced his retirement from all forms of cricket after being left out of India’s World Cup squad. He played 55 ODIs for India and scored three centuries along with 10 half-centuries with a highest score of 124*. however, the Hyderabad cricketer reconsidered his decision earlier this month and will be lead the domestic cricket team of his state.

On the special day of Ambati Rayudu, various cricketers like Suresh Raina, Robin Uthappa, Shikhar Dhawan, but a hilarious tweet from Harbhajan Singh was the highlight out of the others, where he referred the 34-year-old cricketer as “angry young man.”

The cricketing career of the birthday boy has been a roller coaster ride, he was backed by the Indian skipper to cement his place in the team. But his poor show with the bat on a couple of tours ahead of World Cup 2019 forced the selectors to leave him out of the squad because of which he was snubbed from the team for showpiece event with all-rounder Vijay Shankar taking his place.

After being left out of the squad, he tweeted his displeasure at not being selected for the tournament and said that he’d be watching the games with 3D glasses. A cold war between Indian selectors and Rayudu came out when he was not added to the squad as an injury replacement despite being in the standbys.

The uncapped player Mayank Agarwal was preferred ahead of him to replace Shikhar Dhawan. This forced him to take a shocking decision of retiring from all forms of cricket but later he reversed his decision letter to the Hyderabad Cricket Association expressing his desire to play again.
