Harbhajan Singh is known to be a vocal character be it on or off the field. In spite of being away from the national team for some time now, he has always been in the news. However, this has been more often than not for non-cricketing reasons. Right from his initial days in international cricket, Harbhajan and controversy have gone hand-in-hand.

A 17 years old Bhajji was fined and suspended for one ODI in his very first international series in 1998 owing to his argument with former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting. Be it this incident, the monkey-gate scandal with Andrew Symonds or the slap-gate with S Sreesanth, the veteran off-spinner has always been the talk of the cricketing town. A Twitterati, Harbhajan in the past has also been involved in many Twitter wars especially with some fans who have tried to troll him.

Recently the 36-year-old offspinner slammed a fan who wanted one of his tweets to be translated into English. Bhajji posted an inspirational message in Hindi and tweeted: “I found these Superb words just sharing with u all”

However, a follower replied to this post and said: “Kripya English mein Translate karein.”

This made Harbhajan lose his temper and the Turbanator instantly replied: “Kripya aap angrejo ka naakab nikalo chehre se.. har Hindustani Hindi samjta hai bhai ji. (sic)” (Please take the English mask off your face. Every Indian understands Hindi, brother).

Currently, a part of the Mumbai Indians (MI) team in the ongoing edition of the IPL, Harbhajan has 8 wickets to his name in 11 games. He has bowled with a superb economy rate of 6.48 which has helped MI put pressure on the opponents during the crucial period of the match. Mumbai was the first franchise to qualify for the playoffs in the tenth season of the cash-rich League.
