India is ruthlessly dominating the Windies team in the first Test of the two-match series. After declaring the first innings at 649/9, they brought the visitors down to 94/6. The condition of the visitors seems to be absolutely hapless at the moment. Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh took it to Twitter to talk about the team’s performance.

The veteran spinner posted a question to all his followers. He asked if this current Windies team could make it to the quarters of the Ranji Trophy from the Plate group. He invited further controversy by stating that they would definitely not qualify from the Elite group.

Fans disappointed with Harbhajan Singh’s disrespectful tweet

Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja were the top performers for India on Day 2. While Virat Kohli and Jadeja went on to get their century, Pant missed out on his second by just 8 runs. India currently leads by 555 runs and a loss from here seems to be inevitable for the visitors. All that what matters is that how quickly India will wrap up the game.

‘With all due respect to West Indies Cricket but I have a question for u all…will this west Indies team qualify for Ranji quarters from the plate group? Elite se to nahin hoga  #INDvsWI,’ Harbhajan Singh tweeted before the start of play on day-2.

However, this tweet did not go down well with all the fans. Disrespecting the visitors and downgrading them was not good on Harbhajan Singh’s part, the fans opined. Some also questioned his sportsmanship spirit after these derogatory comments. Some asked him to learn from the English cricketers who didn’t mock the Indian team even after the embarrassing loses in 2011, 2014 and 2018.

Some of the fans called these comments laughable while a few others said that this kind of behaviour was the reason why Bhajji was tweeting such stuff instead of playing for India.

Here is how Twitterati reacted:
