Veteran Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh is a happy-go-lucky personality and he is someone, who prefers to put forth his opinions without nurturing any inhibitions. Even as a bowler, he treaded a fearless approach and went for wickets and the tactics have earned him a number of laurels over his illustrious cricketing career. The tweaker has over 700 wickets in international cricket.

Even while playing his trade with the bat in hand, Harbhajan hardly used to die wondering. However, the 38-year-old has his own sets of fears, which have caught him napping on a number of instances. Recently, the Jalandhar-born cricketer featured in a show named, ‘No Filter Neha’, hosted by Bollywood actress Neha Dhupia, who recently entered motherhood with Angad Bedi.

“I have a phobia of travelling in a flight, am scared of it. Now it has reduced considerably. I also have a phobia of getting into a lift. What if it stops and I am stranded alone,” Harbhajan was quoted as saying.

More revelations

The experienced campaigner also spoke about a lot of things, including his journey with wife Geeta Basra, with whom he has been married ever since October 29, 2015. Harbhajan revealed how he met Geeta after the 2011 World Cup, which India won by defeating Sri Lanka in the final.

He even talked about his disliking for a swing and why he wouldn’t sit on one. As far as his cricketing career is concerned, he last played competitive cricket, representing Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 2018 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He was bagged at his base price by MS Dhoni’s men.

To add to his delight, he has been retained by the franchise ahead of the upcoming edition, which is most likely to start on March 29. Harbhajan last donned the Indian jersey back in 2016 in a T20I match against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at Sher-E-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
