The star Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has always had the backing of the captain Virat Kohli and coach Ravi Shastri. They always acknowledge the balance he lends to the team. But the youngster forayed first into the international arena under MS Dhoni’s captaincy and has learnt a lot from him. Pandya himself admits to the fact that Dhoni was the one who helped him get mature while playing at the highest and no wonder now they share a special camaraderie towards each other.
Both of them are currently away from the action even as the Men in Blue have embarked on the stern Australia tour. While Dhoni has been left out of the T20I squad with his consent, Hardik is also missing the T20I and Test series due to the lower back injury he sustained during the Asia Cup. Needless to say that the duo will return for the three-match ODI series which will get underway from January 12 next year.
Hardik showers his love on Mahi
Staying away from the game haven’t stopped MS Dhoni and Hardik Pandya from meeting each other. Sakshi Dhoni, the former Indian captain’s wife, is all set to celebrate her birthday on Monday and the young Pandya was invited for the pre-birthday bash it seems. The trio sizzled together as they had some exceptional together. Only close friends were invited for the event as the recently married and Sakshi’s close friend Poorna Patel was also spotted.
Dhoni was as usual in the simple attire wearing black T-shirt and jeans while Hardik once again managed to bring his swag to the fore. Both of them clicked a picture together during the bash and the camaraderie between them was clearly visible.
Hardik shared the same picture and captioned it with a wonderful message which clears that there is some special connection between the junior and senior cricketer of the Indian team.
Here’s Hardik’s post:
