From sporadic appearances to a regular first team player, Hardik Pandya has had quite an incredible journey. The Indian all-rounder has given fans glimpses of his capabilities, be it with the willow or the ball. His performance in the CT 2017 finals against Pakistan is etched in every fan’s memory. He has also displayed some impeccable performances in the IPL playing for the Mumbai Indians.

Apart from his cricket skills, Pandya is known to be one of the more stylish guys in the dressing room and likes staying true to his image. Hardik recently posted a photo from his session with celebrity hair stylist Hakim Aalim. Hakim recently has also styled Ajinkya Rahane’s hair after the team returned from West Indies and before that, he had given a hairdo to Indian skipper Virat Kohli before the team left for the Champions Trophy.

The MI all-rounder wrote on his Instagram handle, “I have to say you are a true magician @aalimhakim .. I so loved it”

Pandya named in the Test Squad against SL

Hardik Pandya has been recalled by the selectors for the three-Test series in Sri Lanka. KL Rahul, who hasn’t played any competitive cricket since India’s Test series against Australia in March because of injury, was also selected. M Vijay, too, regained fitness, after wrist and shoulder injuries, and was named in the squad.

While Hardik has been a regular in the team in recent times and has put in crucial performances with both bat and ball, the team missed his services in the lone T20I they played in the West Indies, eventually losing the match. Pandya’s lower-order hitting prowess, combined with his skills with the ball is thus imperative to the Indian team.

The Men in Blue are currently preparing for their tour of Sri Lanka. They will take on their sub continental neighbours in a three-Test series, followed by five one-day internationals and a solitary T20I. The first Test is scheduled to start on July 26 at the Galle International Stadium.
