Promising India all-rounder Hardik Pandya finally broke the silence and decided to speak up on his run-out episode with Ravindra Jadeja. Pandya admitted to the fact that he was frustrated on falling victim to the run-out, but got over it pretty quickly.

Highly talented and effective all-rounders Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja found themselves in a mix-up as a result of a misunderstanding in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy against Pakistan. The confusion led to Hardik Pandya losing his wicket and he followed it up with a scream and a swing of his bat in frustration.

Coming on to chase a mammoth target of 339 runs, India found themselves in deep trouble losing all the top order batsmen cheaply. The Indian innings was going through a turmoil when Hardik Pandya stepped onto the field. The 23-year-old smashed the Pakistani bowlers all over the park and turned out to be the only ray of hope for India. Just when it seemed that the lad has something big in store today, Pandya lost his wicket to the unfortunate incident.

What Hardik had to say:

Speaking to the PTI prior to the final ODI against the West Indies, Pandya revealed that it was nothing but an outburst of the disappointment. Having said that, the Mumbai Indians cricketer also said that it did not take him long to forget the incident and share a laugh in the dressing room.

“It took a lot of time. Only three minutes to be honest. It was just an outburst. I get hyper quickly and after few minutes I was laughing in the dressing room. Looking at me, some of the players were laughing too.” said Hardik.

Ravindra Jadeja was highly criticised by stalwarts of the game as they felt that the left-handed batsman should have sacrificed his wicket for the in-form Hardik Pandya. However, it is good to hear that Pandya does not hold any grudge against his team mate and is all set to roar together against the West Indies in the 5th One Day International.
