Kent and Nottinghamshire are playing against each other in County Champions division 2 match. Kent won the toss and elected to bat first and the decision came back to haunt them as they could only muster a paltry total of 180 in their first innings, certainly not a score you expect when a team elects to bat first. Credit must go to the Nottinghamshire bowlers who bowled well to maintain pressure. Harry Gurney particularly bowled a dream delivery to get the wicket of William Gidman.

Sam Northeast must be ruing his decision to bat first after losing first 3 wickets for only 6 runs. Kent were under pressure and they needed to build a decent platform but Nottinghamshire bowlers kept taking wickets at the regular intervals and pressure kept mounting. They lost their 5th when the scoreboard read only 70.

The team desperately needed a partnership and one appeared to be building up when Gidman came out on join opener Bell-Drummond. Those two built a stand worth 55 and it looked like Kent would reach a respectable total. But Gurney had different plans and bowled probably the best delivery of his career to get the wicket of Gidman.

Here is the video of the fantastic delivery Gunner bowled to which the batsman had no answer whatsoever

Harry Gurney must be loving this limelight he has got after failing to make his way back into the national team since 2014. He has played 10 ODIs and 2 T20Is for England but was never quite considered proficient enough to be called up in the Test team.

The 30-year-old is better known for his exploits with the white ball. England has a well-settled batting line up but they have few vacancies in the bowling line up especially in limited overs cricket where they are willing to back the new faces.
