Harsha Bhogle is one of the most renowned faces in the world of sports commentary. A highly educated man, Harsha, has been around for a very long time in the commentary box. He is one of the most revered voices of the Indian cricket, and even in the world cricket at the moment. While there is no official reward for being the best broadcaster, the veteran commentator managed to be the top pick in a fan poll recently.

As per the reports in The Shillong Times, an online community named as the Indian Sports Fans conducted an online survey and poll to name the best broadcaster of the recently concluded edition of the Indian Premier League. The results were out and it was Harsha Bhogle who won the top honors with a wholesome margin. Bhogle bagged as many as 40 per cent of the fan votes in the poll to emerge as the most interesting commentator.

Harsha Bhogle was followed by former New Zealand pace bowler Danny Morrison in the list. Morrison is renowned for his unique antics and greetings on the field. Next in line, as per the results was Aakash Chopra. The former Indian cricketer is becoming one of the most followed cricket analyst and commentator in the country.

Sehwag, Dhoni also the fan favorites

Another survey saw Virender Sehwag top the charts. The survey that was conducted by the same community, asked the fans to pick the most interesting and informative Twitter handle. Virender Sehwag won the honors with 56 per cent of the fan votes going his way. The fans also added their remarks citing that Sehwag not only gives good information but also uses humor very well in his tweet.

The second most entertaining and informative Twitter handle honor went to the Indian skipper and the Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli. Kohli received 11 per cent of the votes. The reports suggest that the survey was conducted from May 12 to 25 and included 4,802 respondents across 10 cities. Among the other big polll results, the Wankhede Stadium was awarded with the best stadium result. This is in contrast to the BCCI’s pick of Eden Gardens as the best venue of IPL 2018. In another result, MS Dhoni was chosen as the most revered cricketer.
