Haryana announce a star-studded line-up for Vijay Hazare Trophy 2017-18

The Indian cricketers, both the experienced campaigners and the young guns are quite ready to put up a display of their skills in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2017-18. After a hard-fought battle in the Ranji Trophy and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, the State teams will now face each other in the 50-overs domestic tournament. The competition is already in its early phase, where some teams have played a game or two. In the meanwhile, Haryana have also named a 17-member squad for the tourney, which will be led by Indian leg-spinner Amit Mishra.

Haryana have not had memorable outings in the recent domestic competitions, as they failed to qualify for the next stage in the Ranji Trophy and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy this season. But keeping the past behind, this team will be looking forward to a new beginning.

Team would be banking on their experienced core

Haryana have included many experienced cricketers in their line-up for the competition and they would be hoping that these players deliver their best and some match-winning performances in the upcoming matches. They have named a balanced squad with an action-packed bowling attack which consists of the likes of pacers Mohit Sharma, Joginder Sharma, Harshal Patel.

As far as the spinners are concerned, skipper Amit Mishra leads the charge with, Jayant Yadav and Rahul Tewatia. The bowling attack rather looks pretty mature as most of the bowlers have decent domestic experience under their belt. The batting unit also looks sorted and settled with specific names for designated roles.

In the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2017-18, Haryana would be facing some strong competition from – Punjab, Karnataka, Railways, Assam and Odisha in the league stage. All the group matches will be played in Bengaluru.
