Hasan Ali backs this 19-year old to play for Pakistan

Pakistani pacer Hasan Ali is making a big name for himself in the world cricket at the moment. He has had an excellent journey in the national colors thus far. Ever since he broke out at the big stage in the PSL, there has been no looking back for the fiery pace bowler. Now, as per the recent reports, the pacer believes that another young 19-year old has a very bright future ahead.

As per the quotes in the Geo.tv, Hasan Ali remarked that the young leg spinner Ibtisam Sheikh has the talent to play for Pakistan in the near future. The rise of the leg spinners has been evident in world cricket in the recent times. Hence, it will indeed not be surprising to see Ibtisam getting an early call in the national side.

Ali’s remarks came after Peshawar Zalmi’s thumping win over the Lahore Qalandars in their most recent outing. Last year, young leg spinner Shadab Khan had taken all the limelight in the PSL. His excellent performances in the T20 league fetched him a national call as well.

Learning from the PSL exposure

Speaking further on the same note, Hasan Ali remarked that even he got to learn a lot from the exposure he got from the PSL. The tournament provides the ideal platform for the youngsters to rub shoulders with some of the biggest names.

Hence, it is needless to concede that it provides a great opportunity to learn from the best in the business. It is worth noting that even Ali has been a product of the PSL. It was his successful stint in the PSL that earned him a national callup. And soon, he became the bowling mainstay of the national side within a year.

“I learned a lot from my seniors, and with the PSL exposure, it is easy for the youngsters to play international cricket,” Hasan Ali quoted.
