Both Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers have been two of the most versatile batsmen their respective national teams have ever seen. Talking about Virat, he has carved a reputation as a dependable batsman irrespective of the format. He forayed at the highest level back in 2008 and has only grown in stature ever since. The 29-year-old currently has 57 international centuries to his name.

He also boasts of six double-centuries in Test cricket. The Delhi-born cricketer is also the all-format captain of the Indian cricket team. He is currently playing in India’s five-match Test series against England where he is presently the leading run scorer with 337 runs in five innings. De Villiers made his debut in 2004 and turned himself into an indispensable element of South Africa.

The 34-year-old recently hung his boots from all forms of international cricket citing tiredness as one of the reasons behind his decision. He also has 47 tons for the Proteas across all formats.

Kohli is 29 and is considered to have a bright future in the offing. Kohli and de Villiers have also played together for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the cash-rich Indian Premier League. Recently, Hasan Ali, the Pakistani fast-bowler conducted a question and answer session on Twitter where a supporter asked him about his best player among the two legendary cricketers.
