While there is still no clarity or confirmation over when will Pakistan recall their former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, fast-bowler Hasan Ali has not shied away from stating that he misses the wicketkeeper-batsman. Sarfaraz Ahmed has not played for Pakistan since the T20I series against Sri Lanka at home in October last year. Just days after Pakistan lost the three-match series to a second-string Sri Lankan side, Pakistan sacked Sarfaraz as T20I and Test captain.
Babar Azam and Azhar Ali replaced Sarfaraz as the new T20I and Test captains respectively. Pakistan also dropped Sarfaraz from the Test and T20I teams that toured Australia. The wicketkeeper, in fact, was also not a part of the Test team that played against Sri Lanka at home last month. And it looks like Hasan Ali is getting desperate for Sarfaraz to return to the Pakistan side.
The fast-bowler recently took to Instagram to post his feelings. He posted an emotional story on the social media platform and lavished praise on Sarfaraz. Hasan stated how Sarfaraz made Pakistan win games with his captaincy.
“Captain will be my captain. Sometimes he screamed at the bowlers, sometimes he went over and hugged them, sometimes he prayed behind the stumps, and then he won us matches that we had already lost. This was our captain. Lots of respect for this [Sarfaraz] man,’ Hasan posted along with different photos of the ex-Pakistan skipper.

Meanwhile, Hasan has himself not played for Pakistan since last year’s World Cup. His last appearance came when Pakistan lost to arch-rivals India on June 16 in Manchester. Since then, a number of injuries has kept him on the sidelines.
Sarfaraz Ahmed in line to be recalled to Pakistan side
Sarfaraz Ahmed could soon don the Pakistan jersey once again as reports suggest that he is in line to earn a recall for the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh. Pakistan will host Bangladesh last this month. In Sarfaraz’s absence, Pakistan pinned their faith in Mohammad Rizwan but the latter could not justify it in Australia, scoring 31, 14 and 0. Latest media reports suggest that Pakistan are set to recall Sarfaraz to replace Rizwan in the team.
