Mohammed Shami is currently playing in the first of the five-match Test series against England. He was the best pace bowler for India in the first innings picking three wickets and it seems that he is finally back to his best after troubling three months. He had issues with his wife Hasin Jahan who had accused him of a lot of wrongdoings. She is once again in the news for accusing him of age fraud.

Hasin Jahan posted an array of photographs of the cricketer’s official documents which included Class 10 marksheet, Class 12 marksheet, driving license, voter-ID card and chequebook on Facebook in a bid to let the world know about the fraud in his age.

Shockingly, according to the pictures of Shami’s documents, three different birth dates are on display which has left everyone perplexed. According to the records in the BCCI, his birth year is 1990 but if his class 10 marksheet is to be believed, Shami is already 34 years old. Also, his driving license claims that the fast bowler is aged 36 which might put him in troubled waters once again. It remains to be seen if these allegations affect Shami’s England tour after starting the Test series so well.

Here’s her Facebook post:

Love for the game helped

After the end of the firs day’s play though, Mohammed Shami had opened up about the tough times in his personal life. He stressed that the love towards the game helped him make a comeback on the field. “(The tour of) South Africa was a long time ago and there have been some off-field issues after that. I had to fight a lot in between but my effort was that I have to keep doing what I love most and what is most important to me (cricket),” he said.

“There are ups and downs in life and in your family. But when playing for your country there is a responsibility and when you do that job properly, I think that’s the best thing. So I am very happy with today,” Shami added.
