'He is an inspiration for all and very supportive' - KL Rahul heaps praises on Harbhajan Singh after off-spinner announces retirement

Harbhajan Singh brought the curtains down on his illustrious cricketing career on 24th December 2021. The off-spin bowling colossus took to Twitter to announce his decision to walk away from the game.

Singh expressed his gratitude towards the game that has provided everything to him, and also thanked everyone who were a part of his cricketing journey. Singh also added that he has experienced a beautiful and memorable journey in the game of cricket.

“All good things come to an end and today as I bid adieu to the game that has given me everything in life, I would like to thank everyone who made this 23-year-long journey beautiful and memorable. My heartfelt thank you. Grateful,” tweeted Harbhajan Singh. This tweet from Harbhajan has already garnered over 26000 likes at the time of writing.

Harbhajan Singh was very supportive to youngsters: KL Rahul

And, Indian batter KL Rahul has heaped praises on Harbhajan Singh. Rahul said that Harbhajan Singh has inspired everyone and added that the veteran was very supportive to the youngsters in the side.

“He (Harbhajan Singh) is an inspiration for all. He was very supportive to the youngsters like me when we came to the team,” said KL Rahul in a press conference.

In a stellar career that lasted 17 years, Harbhajan Singh picked up a whopping 711 wickets in his international career across all formats of the game. Singh also played 163 matches in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as well, where he prized out 150 willow wielders. In fact, Singh is the 5th highest wicket-taker in the history of the IPL. He was a part of two World Cup winning Indian teams as well.
