In a startling revelation, a young lady has brought severe accusations against Babar Azam, who’s the captain of Pakistan in all three formats. The 26-year-old Babar is being deemed as one of the best in the business and is arguably the most consistent batter for his country across formats. In the meantime, the accuser lashed out at Babar for doing injustice to her over the time period.

As per the woman, Babar proposed her in 2010 and then promised to tie the knots with her. But going by reports, the situation worsened from there on. The young lady stated that the Lahore-born Babar resorted to physical violence, delivered threats and even got her pregnant.

“The person, who’s been doing the wrong with me is none other than Babar Azam, the captain of the Pakistan cricket team. I am related to Babar from the time when he wasn’t a known person in the cricket world,” the lady told to 24NewsHD.

Babar Azam promised me of court marriage, says the criticiser

“I and Babar grew up in the same society, we used to stay together and we were school friends. In 2010, he proposed to me at my place and I accepted it.”

“As time went along, my understanding with him deepened and we even had plans of getting married. But our families were against it. So, we decided for court marriage. In 2011, he helped me flee from my place, and promising me of court marriage, he used to keep me in rented places. I requested Babar to get married, but he kept delaying it,” she stated.

“He promised to marry me, he got me pregnant, he beat me up, he threatened me and he used me,” the lady added. For the time being, it remains to be seen whether or not Babar reacts to the scathing accusations or not.

Babar, at the present point in time, is in New Zealand for the international matches, which gets underway in the second half of December. The Pakistan team is already in a tricky situation after seven of their members tested positive for COVID-19.

As per PCB CEO Wasim Khan, Pakistan have gotten their ‘final warning’ from New Zealand surrounding breach of protocols. The tour consists of three T20Is and a couple of Tests.
