South Africa easily beat the Indian side with 7 wickets to spare in the 2nd Test match at Johannesburg to level the three-match Test series 1-1. Dean Elgar was the top scorer for the Proteas with the willow in hand and scored a masterly 96*.
Apart from Elgar, Rassie van der Dussen also contributed a handy 40 as well. With this superb win, the Proteas made sure that the series is alive, and there is everything to play for when the teams assemble at Cape Town for the final rubber.
For the Indian side, the three bowlers who scalped wickets in the second innings were Mohammed Shami, Shardul Thakur and Ravichandran Ashwin.

Australia are still placed at the top of the table with 3 wins in the tournament, while the Sri Lankan side is placed at the 2nd spot. Pakistan are occupying third place, while Bangladesh are occupying 6th position in the points table.
West Indies are placed at the 7th spot, while the New Zealand side is occupying the 8th position in the table. The last position in the points table is occupied by the Joe Root-led England side.
