Sri Lanka annihilated the West Indies by 164 runs in the 2nd Test to sweep the two-match series against their opponents by a margin of 2-0. The West Indies were no match to their opposition and ran out of answers to the questions posed by the Sri Lankan bowlers.

Batting first, Sri Lanka posted a total of 204 on the board, with Pathum Nissanka top-scoring with 73. In reply, the West Indies were cruising at 180/3 but were bowled out for 253. Ramesh Mendis scalped a six-wicket haul.

In the second innings, Sri Lanka declared with their scorecard reading 345/9, with Dinesh Chandimal crafting a superb 155*. Set a challenging target of 297, the West Indies were skittled out for 132, as Lasith Embuldeniya and Ramesh Mendis ran riot.

How does the WTC table look like after the second Test between Sri Lanka and West Indies?

So, how does the World Test Championship (WTC) points table look like after the 2nd Test match between these two sides? With this emphatic victory over the West Indies, Sri Lanka are perched on top of the table and have won both matches that they have played in the 2nd WTC cycle.

The West Indies, on the other hand, are placed at the 6th spot. Pakistan won the opening match of their two-match Test series against Bangladesh by 8 wickets and as a result, Babar Azam and his men have moved to 2nd place. Bangladesh are placed at the last spot in the table after their crushing defeat.

On the other hand, the 1st Test between India and New Zealand ended in a draw. And as a result, India are placed at the 3rd spot in the WTC table, while the Kiwis are occupying the 4th position. England meanwhile, are stationed at the 5th spot.
