Virat Kohli has been one of the most sought-after personalities in the media owing to his stupendous run of form as an Indian cricketer. He has racked up runs at a haemorrhaging rate and has subsequently garnered accolades from the cricketing fraternity. However, apart from that, he has also hogged the headlines courtesy of his destination wedding and everything thereafter even the time he spends at home with wife Anushka Sharma.

The cricketer recently shifted to a posh apartment in Worli, Mumbai along with the Bollywood Diva. However, despite being with the love of his life, Kohli is missing someone he is dearly fond of- his pet dog. He parents a cute Beagle, Bruno who is in Gurgaon and quite expectantly, the Indian captain is missing what we refer to as ‘human’s best friend’.

However, he is planning to get another pet in Mumbai and also revealed Anushka’s admiration of dogs. “I am living in Mumbai now, the pet is in Gurgaon. I haven’t seen him in a few days. I don’t have any dogs at home in Mumbai at the moment, but will think about it in the future. We both (Anushka and I) love dogs.”  Virat was quoted as saying by the media.

Virat’s affection for dogs is an open secret as he has always had one around him. First, he had a white Pomeranian, then it was a golden Labrador Retriever, Rico and now Bruno. He has also taken to Instagram in order to promote adoption of dogs.

The Indian skipper has currently been rested for the ongoing Nidahas Trophy 2018 where Team India is playing Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Rohit Sharma is leading the team in place of the Delhi-born cricketer. However, Virat will lead the Royal Challengers  Bangalore and is slated to play a crucial role for the franchise in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League.
