Herschelle Gibbs delighted to make a comeback on the field
Gibbs retired from the game back in 2010.

The South Africa star player Herschelle Gibbs hung his boots from international long back. He last played for the Proteas in a T20I against Pakistan during the World T20 in 2010 and since then has kept himself busy in personal work while also expressing his views about the game on his official Twitter handle. Meanwhile, Gibbs has expressed his happiness of returning to the field after experiencing Virtual Cricket.
Recently. IB Cricket introduced the World’s most immersive Virtual Reality Cricket and are set to organise the tournament involving some superstars of the game. The likes of Suresh Raina, Tillakaratne Dilshan and Brendon McCullum among many along with Gibbs will be taking part in the competition. The cricketers are loving the new format in which they will play one over each with three players forming a team.
What a debut after retirement!
Herschelle Gibbs, after playing Virtual Cricket, expressed his elation and termed the experience as ‘debut after the retirement. Gibbs also went on to say that he is feeling like he is 20 years old despite being 45 at the moment. “What a debut after retirement! 45 now but feels like I’m 20 again! Back in the nets for a great training session & hitting the ball out of the park with @playibcricket! Excited to be back on the field! @Viu_IN,” Gibbs’ tweet read.

Herschelle Gibbs is the part of the Black Thunders team and Dilshan and Harbhajan Singh are his teammates. They will face the teams like Orange Chargers, Blue Blasters and Yellow Strikers during the tournament. Shubman Gill, Mohammad Kaif and Virender Sehwag form the Blasters team while the Strikers look a strong unit with the likes of Suresh Raina, Chris Lynn and Brendon McCullum for their team.
Windies hard-hitting all-rounder Andre Russell, Prithvi Shaw and the stylish cricket VVS Laxman are part of the Orange Cheers team.
