Former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar has entered the million subscriber club with his new channel on YouTube and following this, his several other teammates have become quite active on the same platform. Experts are known for propagating fine advice on social media channels but Pakistan cricketers remain too active in taking a dig against each other.
Former Pakistan skipper and one of the class batsmen, Javed Miandad is known for hitting headlines for his controversial statements. In his latest video on YouTube, the former batsman bashed Imran Khan, who’s the only Pakistan captain to lead the team to a World Cup title. Miandad said that Imran Khan has been ‘acting like God’ ever since he has been given the charge of Pakistan’s governance.
He said– “I was your captain, you weren’t my captain. I’ll come to politics and then I’ll talk to you. I was the one who led you all the time, but you act like God now. It is almost like you’re the only intelligent person in this country as if no one has gone to Oxford or Cambridge or any other university in Pakistan. Think about the people.”
Whatever he is talking, doesn’t make sense: Madan Lal
Talking in the same light, former Indian cricketer, Madan Lal spoke to Sports Tak and showed his disgust over Miandad’s statement. Lal said that Miandad is a bit ‘mentally unstable’ now. “Whatever he is talking, doesn’t make sense, shows how much educated he is. He had previously made a remark on Kashmir as well as our Prime Minister. I feel he is a bit mentally unstable,” said Lal.
Miandad had also slammed Imran Khan for appointing Wasim Khan as CEO of Pakistan Cricket Board As being born and brought in England, Wasim doesn’t even own Pakistan’s nationality, Miandad had argued.
“All officials in the PCB do not know the ABC of the sport. I will talk to Imran Khan personally about the sad state of affairs. I will not leave anyone that is not right for our country. You appointed a foreigner on a key position. What will happen when he flees the country after doing corruption? Is there a shortage of people in your own country that you had to bring people from abroad to work in the PCB,” Miandad had said.
Miandad always finds himself in the loop of controversies for his raw and rude statements on social media platforms. He made to headlines last year when he made a derogatory remark in the Kashmir matter. He made the statement in a video where he was brandishing a sword.
“Kashmiri brothers don’t worry. We are with you. Earlier I used a bat to hit a six, now I can use this sword. Balle se chakka maar sakta hu, talwar se insaan,” he had said.
