Holi 2022 is being observed on March 18 and on the occasion of the festival of colors, many celebrities have come forward and wished their fans and well-wishers a Happy Holi. Even the cricketing fraternity has also come forward to wish everyone on this auspicious day. Among them is India skipper Rohit Sharma.

Rohit will be leading Mumbai Indians in IPL 2022, which gets underway on March 26. In fact, he reached the MI training camp just after the conclusion of the pink-ball Test match against Sri Lanka in Bengaluru on March 14. On the occasion of Holi, the Hitman has come up with a special message for one and all.

Rohit Sharma wishes everyone a Happy Holi

Taking to his Instagram handle, Rohit and his wife Ritika Sajdeh extended greetings. The duo also brought the lighter side in them while doing so. While Rohit was wishing the fans, he could be seen doing a lot of retakes in the video in which he was giving the message. The elegant batter can also be seen making fun of him as well while shooting.

“Chalega Utna, Agar mereko accha nahi laga na toh you have to edit that and start from the festival of colors,” were some of Rohit Sharma’s hilarious conversations in the video.

Rohit was one of the Mumbai Indians’ four retentions for IPL 2022 along with pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah, Caribbean all-rounder Kieron Pollard and middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav. He has been offered a sum of INR 16 crore. After having rebuilt their squad at the two-day mega-auction in Bengaluru last month, MI would now be hoping to have a memorable tournament as they eye a record sixth IPL crown.

They had a disappointing season in 2021 where they finished fifth. The Rohit Sharma-led side would be hoping for a revival in fortunes this time around. The five-time winners will kick off their IPL 2022 campaign against the Delhi Capitals at the Brabourne Stadium on March 27.
