How Kane Williamson fell in love at first sight with a nurse during treatment

Kane Williamson is one of the most popular players in the cricket fraternity. He is a true modern-day great in terms of records, achievements, and just sheer class. Yet, after getting all the praise from the nooks and corners of the world, there is a sense of secrecy that maintains when it comes to his private life. 

If one checks his social media profiles on Instagram or Twitter, it is quite evident that the skipper of the Blackcaps likes to keep his private life away from the limelight. As a matter of fact, there is only one picture of his family on his Instagram. Talking about his family, it should be noted that Kane has been living with his partner Sarah Raheem for the past five years. 

Much like Kane, Sarah likes to keep her private life away from the spotlight. For instance, her Instagram profile has only around 200 followers and is private. In fact, there is not even seen a single picture of the couple on Kane’s social media profiles. The couple gave birth to a daughter in December 2020, when the cricketer uploaded a picture, which happens to be the only ever picture of his family on Instagram. 

Williamson celebrated the birth of his daughter with a double century

The story of how the couple met and started dating is rather an interesting one. Sarah was born in England originally and shifted to New Zealand. She is a nurse by profession and met the current New Zealand skipper when he was undergoing treatment in the hospital where she worked. The story goes that it was almost a love at first sight situation for the couple as they exchanged numbers and kept in touch after Kane’s treatment.

They soon started dating and have been together for around five years. The relationship between the two was a well-kept secret initially. But, soon, they were spotted out in public and seen together at a few events. The only time the fans got confirmation from the duo was when Sarah gave birth to their first child. 

Interestingly, she was born in the same month as Vamika, the daughter of Kane’s good friend, Virat Kohli. Williamson celebrated the birth of his daughter with a big double hundred on his return to the team after missing a game as he wanted to stay with Sarah for this special occasion.
