For any cricketer, getting praised by none other than Sachin Tendulkar is always a major motivation. Recently, the legend went on to speak very highly of the Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj, and praised his abilities. Tendulkar said that whenever Siraj plays, there is something new that the pacer introduces.

The 27-year-old was absolutely ecstatic to have been praised by one of the greatest of the games. The bowler termed Tendulkar’s words as “a huge motivation”. While replying to the tweet which consisted of the video of the 48-year-old praising him, he thanked the Indian superstar.

“Thank you @sachin_rt sir for this. It is a huge motivation for me coming from you.. I will always do my best for my country. stay well sir,” read Siraj‘s tweet. Several fans replied to his Tweet, and wished him the best of luck for the upcoming series against South Africa.

“He is a fast learner”- Sachin Tendulkar on Mohammed Siraj

After replying to the sports journalist Boria Majumdar’s tweet, which consisted of the video, the Hyderabad pacer quoted the same tweet and replied to Tendulkar. Earlier, the former Indian batter had praised his maturity, as well as body language. “He’s a proper fast bowler and his body language is so positive. That’s what I like.” said Sachin Tendulkar while speaking to Boria Majumdar on the show ‘Backstage with Boria’.

“He is a fast learner, you know. In fact, last year when he played in Australia, he made his debut in Melbourne, but it never appeared like he’s playing his first match. I felt like this guy has been around for a while, that was the maturity he showed.” he said.

Despite not having played a Test in the rainbow nation, there are a lot of hopes on Siraj to come good. Besides, the conditions in that part of the world might just suit his style of bowling. The first of the three-match Test series begins on Boxing day, i.e. December 26. It is yet to be seen if the visitors decide to play four seamers, or just the three.
