It is known for all that India boasts of a 5-0 record in the T20 World Cup against Pakistan but Khan added this record can go 5-1 for Pakistan this time around. The former Pakistan skipper added that those who perform well in high-pressure games like India-Pakistan went on to become great legends of the game.

“From Pakistan’s point of view, I am hoping that 5-0 record in T20 World Cup will become 5-1. India-Pakistan is a high-pressure match and only those who are able to deliver in such scenarios go on to become legends of the game,” said Khan at a conclave organized by ABP News.

MS Dhoni has been a big factor always: Younis Khan

Khan, who led Pakistan to the T20 WC title in 2009, added that the presence of MS Dhoni in the dugout is itself a big factor of threat for Pakistan. He has the ability to keep the environment around him calm in high-pressure games and hence he will be a huge bonus for the team. Also, MS has won all the ICC titles for India and hence he remains a plus for the men in blue.

“When you have a player like MS Dhoni in the dressing room, as an opponent you always dread that. Even before in our games, Dhoni has been a big factor, he has the ability to calm the environment, and in a high-pressure game that is a huge bonus. Dhoni has won many titles and as a mentor, he will be a huge plus for India in the World Cup,” added Khan.

The high-pressure clash between India and Pakistan is all set to take place in Dubai on October 24 and it remains to be seen how teams each other in the high-octane clash.
