'I am lucky to have you by my side' - Hardik Pandya's wonderful birthday wish for elder brother Krunal

March 23, 2021, was an emotional day for the Pandya family. Krunal Pandya made his ODI debut memorable slamming an unbeaten 58 off 31 and then picking a wicket with the ball. His all-round effort played a crucial role in India winning the first ODI against England by 66 runs. The all-rounder was playing for India for the first time since his father’s demise and broke down multiple times on the field.

When he was called for an interview in the mid-innings break, he couldn’t even utter a word and started crying. He was later seen breaking down while hugging his brother Hardik Pandya. The same happened earlier in the day when he was presented with his debut ODI cap.

Hardik and Krunal both are very close to each other having fought through all the hardships in their life together. The latter’s performance a day before his 30th birthday made even his younger brother emotional as they dedicated it to their late father. Hardik Pandya even penned down a beautiful message for Krunal Pandya.

On the occasion of his birthday, Hardik once again came up with a wonderful message for his elder brother recalling all the tough times they faced in their life. He reasserted the fact that they will always be together no matter what the situation is while wishing Krunal a very happy birthday.

An off day for Hardik Pandya

While Krunal Pandya was in the limelight for his exceptional performance in the first ODI against England, Hardik didn’t have a great outing in Pune. The all-rounder could score only one run off nine balls and didn’t bowl. He was off the field for a certain period of time as well. Having said that, Hardik Pandya was brimming with a smile the whole day thanks to a sensational debut for his brother.

Meanwhile, the younger Pandya will be hoping to make amends in the second ODI, to be played on March 26, and help India win the series.
