Due to the outbreak of coronavirus, the situation in the whole world hat turned sour in the past two months. The life-threatening virus has threatened human existence and people are suggested to stay indoors in such a critical condition. More than 1.9 lakh people across the world have died due to the pandemic and the whole world is currently hoping that the outbreak of COVID-19 subsides in the near future.

The outbreak of coronavirus has also taken a toll on the sports industry. With no sports in the frame, sportspersons including cricketers are left with no choice but to spend their idle quarantine time on social media. Many cricketers like Rohit Sharma, Yuzvendra Chahal, Shreyas Iyer, Yuvraj Singh, and Harbhajan Singh have either resorted to Instagram or Twitter to stay interacted with their fans.

Australia’s Josh Hazlewood also joined the trend as asked his fans to send in question through his Instagram story. Hazlewood spilt the beans on a variety of topics. He was also asked about the best batsman he had bowled to. Hazlewood responded with the name of South Africa’s AB de Villiers and added that the pacer is glad that the Protea has now retired from international cricket.

“There are a few around the world at the moment. But I would definitely say AB de Villiers. I’m pretty happy that he retired from international cricket,” said Hazlewood through his Instagram story.

Hazlewood was a part of the Australian squad which locked horns with New Zealand in March. However, due to the outbreak of coronavirus, the series was called off midway after the Aussies clinched the first match of the three-match series by 71 runs. The subsequent second and third ODIs were cancelled in the wake of the pandemic.

The right-arm pacer has represented Australia in 48 ODIs where he has scalped 78 wickets at an economy of 4.74. With the red ball, Hazlewood has scalped 195 wickets in 51 Tests for Australia which includes 7 four-wicket hauls and 7 five-wicket hauls.

In the IPL 2020 auction, Hazlewood was snapped up by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at a hefty price of INR 2 crores. However, the feasibility of the tournament looks bleak at the moment due to COVID-19 debacle. The much-awaited league has been postponed indefinitely to tackle the pandemic.
