When the cricket fraternity was already in too much discussion regarding the Chennai pitch, the results of the third Test between India and England at Ahmedabad has fueled the fire. Though most of the people and fans congratulated India for scripting a stunning show in the 3rd Test, many have questioned the pitch of Ahmedabad on several aspects. Big names like Michael Vaughan also came up to voice their opinions on the same and criticized the pitch.

In the same light, former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh congratulated India for their great show, but added that on pitches like these, India’s former spinner could have created bigger records. He did congratulate Ravi Ashwin for his 400 Test wickets, Ishant Sharma for his 100th Test, and Axar Patel for his outstanding show, but his post came up with a twist that didn’t go well with the fans.

“Finished in 2 days Not sure if that’s good for test cricket! If @anilkumble1074 and @harbhajan_singh would have bowled on these kinds of wickets, they would be sitting on a 1000 and 800? However, Congratulations to @akshar2026, what a spell! Congratulations @ashwinravi@99 @imishant.”

However, at the end of the day, ace spinner Ravi Ashwin came up with two cryptic tweets which felt like a response to Yuvraj Singh’s post. In the latest turn of events, Ashwin cleared up the air and added that he just wanted to share his point of view, and there was nothing more to it. He added that the state of mind in which he is right now, he didn’t find anything wrong with Yuvraj’s tweet and has utmost respect for the former all-rounder.

Here are tweets by Ravi Ashwin

“The reason behind my tweets was not regarding anyone in particular. When I read Yuvi paa’s tweet, I did not get affected, I did not find that tweet trying to tell us something. It just felt like a plain tweet. For me, the state of mind I am in right now, I did not find it wrong.

“I know Yuvi paa for a long time, I have the utmost respect for him. Some people amongst us tend to buy what people sell, I do not know the reason why certain people try to sell certain things, but it is clear it’s just a perception of what happens,” said Ashwin as quoted by the Indian Express.
