Bio-bubble thing has become normal in these days after the cricket world resumed after COVID-19 first wave. Players have to strictly remain inside bio-bubble in order to carry out their cricketing fixtures. Talking in the context of Indian players, some of them have been playing continuous cricket since India’s tour to Australia. They have been on the road constantly and former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has come with his opinions on the same.

Chopra added that bubble fatigue is for real and even they feel it without playing cricket. This tournament is going to take place after long five years and he believes that bubble fatigue won’t affect the team’s performance.

“Bio-bubble fatigue is real, you start feeling it after a point of time. Even though we don’t play, we feel it. The Indian team has been on the road for way too long and this is one final stretch for them. The World Cup does not happen very often and even this edition is taking place after 5 years. So, I do not think bio-bubble fatigue should affect the Indian team’s performance,” said Chopra while speaking on his YouTube channel.

KL Rahul should be given a full license to play freely: Aakash Chopra

Moving further into the discussion, Chopra stated that KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma should open up the order and Virat Kohli should come at his designated no. 3 position only. In fact, Kohli opened up with Rohit earlier this year against England but that option shouldn’t be explored as of now and the in-form Rahul should be allowed to go on freely in the T20 WC 2021.

“Virat Kohli is a very tempting option to explore at the top of the order. But, no. He should not open. KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma should be the opening pair. KL Rahul should be given a full license to play freely. I’m also expecting Rohit Sharma to play slightly longer innings. We have seen, especially in the IPL, that he is on the crease for a while, scores 30-40 runs but those big innings is missing,” he added.
