'I hope you find your peace and rest in paradise' - Harmanpreet Kaur mourns the death of Sushant Singh Rajput

The death of Sushant Singh Rajput served as a shock for the entire country. The Bollywood actor and TV star committed suicide and was found dead at his Bandra residence on Sunday. 34-year-old Sushant, according to reports, was battling against depression for quite a while and he was also going through treatment for it.
The news of Sushant’s death came after his former manager Disha Salian committed suicide last Monday by jumping off the 14th floor from her apartment. Condolences and tributes poured in after the news of Sushant’s death spread like wildfire on social media.
Along with the Bollywood industry, the sports fraternity also paid tribute to Sushant after his untimely demise. Several sports personalities including Sachin Tendulkar, Sania Mirza, Vijender Singh, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma paid tribute to Sushant and expressed their grief.
India Women’s T20I skipper Harmanpreet Kaur also mourned Sushant’s demise and termed it as ‘shocking and saddening’. Kaur added that the actor will always be cherished for his impressive performances.

Originally from Bihar, Sushant had started his acting career through television shows. He was a popular TV face after he gained popularity with Ekta Kapoor’s show– Pavitra Rishta.
Sushant eventually paved his way into Bollywood and made his debut with Abhishek Kapoor’s Kai Po Che. He also earned a Filmfare nomination for Best Male Debut. Sushant delivered impressive performances in many other successful films like PK, Kedarnath, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and Chhichhore.
Sushant’s portrayal of former Indian skipper MS Dhoni in his biopic was one of the highlights of his career. He gained many accolades for his superb performance in the film.
Sushant had also garnered critical acclaim for his role in Dibakar Banerjee’s 2015 movie, Detective Byomkesh Bakshy. His recent release was Chhichhore which also gained critical and commercial success and his next Bollywood project was Mukesh Chhabra’s Dil Bechara.
