We know how great a captain is when the list of people praising him seems endless. Another one in the league is South African star David Miller, who thinks MSD as cricket’s greatest finishers. He feels, Dhoni has taken Indian cricket to another level in the past decade with his ace match-winning skills. His best was when he pulled off thunderous 97 to push Men in Blue lift the World Cup in 2011.

Since then, he has been winning matches for the national side as well as his IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings. He has retired from international games, but fans are looking every bit of excited to watch him steal the glory for Yellow Army yet again in the upcoming IPL. Miller is completely impressed by MSD’s finishing skills and wishes to acquire his calm attitude while dealing with a high-pressure game.

I absolutely love the way Dhoni goes about his business: David Miller

“I absolutely love the way Dhoni goes about his business. Certainly his calmness – you just think he’s always under control. The way he portrays himself, that’s something he’s extremely good at, and I do enjoy that about him. I try and give off the same energy,” said Miller to ESPNcricinfo.

Though Miller is in complete awe of Ranchi Stalwart, he isn’t oblivion of his weaknesses as a batsman. However, he didn’t feel like mentioning about it right now.

“…he’s got his strengths and weaknesses as a batsman and so do I. I tend to be in awe of some of his chases rather than ‘I want to bat like him’. I suppose I just want to finish games like he does.”

Miller will be playing for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2020 commencing September 19, after plying his trade successfully eight years for Kings XI Punjab. The batsman could only feature in only eight games for Punjab between the 2017-18 season. Last year he played ten matches, scoring 213 runs with a strike-rate of 129.87.

“We’ll see how my career unfolds and finishes, and then we can look back and sort of judge. Definitely, Dhoni is one of the best finishers ever; he’s proven it many times. I love watching him play,” Miller concluded.
