Sreesanth still has hopes for playing cricket and has not given up on his comeback. The former Indian pacer still has four or maybe five years of cricket left in him. He wants to make a comeback and is looking forward to a first division two-day game next week.

The Indian speedster believes the same and said if he gets to play on the February 19th he will be off to Scotland to play for Glenrothens. The Kerala boy said “If I get to play on February 19, I will be on the next flight to Scotland for Glenrothens. I only have four to five years of cricket left in me and I want to make full use of it.”

He applied for a No Objection Certificate to the BCCI but they refused to grant him one. The NOC was to allow him to play for the Scotland-based club Glenrothens. However, Sreesanth states that there has been no official letter of his ban and the umpires have nothing to stop him from playing.

“When there is no official letter stating my life ban then why will the umpires stop me from playing? There have been no emails, courier or anything which states that I am banned from playing cricket. Not even my state or district associations have received any letter with regards to this from the BCCI,” he said while talking to Hindustan Times.

The BCCI has even threatened to ban his club if they allow the Indian pacer to play for them. Sreesanth had a say on this too, he said “If they stop me from playing, I would want a letter stating about my ban. If that’s not the case, then I will play. Let there be a controversy. They (BCCI) can’t ban my club as there is no letter to state that you can’t play Sreesanth. There is nothing to this effect.”

He claims to have been treated as “worse than terrorists”. Stating that there have been players who have committed the crime and are still encouraged by the ICC to play. Also saying that he has not been proved guilty and is still not allowed to play.

He said: “The way I have been ill-treated is probably even worse than a terrorist. Those who have been found guilty of corrupt practices have been encouraged to play again by the ICC. Whereas I am not even found guilty but I still have to go through this hell. I want my respect back which I earned through cricket.”

This saga between Sreesanth and BCCI is going on forever. The pacer, however, is not losing hope and will continue to fight until the Indian board grants him the permission to play.
