Preview for Dream11 Fantasy
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2019 will get underway with the match between Scotland and Singapore. Both the teams are a part of Group A which consists of five more teams as well. Scotland last played in the T20I tri-nation series in Ireland with the Netherlands being the other participating team. They won two out of the four matches in the series and agonizingly lost their previous game to Ireland by just 1 run.
Scotland have named the same squad which played in the tri-series and Josh Davey has only been added to the earlier 14-man squad. Singapore, on the other hand, recently managed to register their first win over the full member nation Zimbabwe. But it remained their only win in the tri-series and will have to play out of their skins in this game to go past Scotland.
Singapore have trimmed their 18-member squad which played in the home tri-series to 15. No new member has been added to the team with Amjad Mahboob set to lead.
There is no chance of rain in Dubai. Though there will intermittent clouds in the lead up to the game. The sun will start to come out as the game progresses. The temperature will hover around 33-36 Degrees Celsius during the match according to AccuWeather.
The pitches have traditionally been at the slower side at the venue and the trend should continue for this tournament as well. The team winning the toss is expected to bat first with the surface likely to get slower and slower as the game progresses.
Average first innings score: 152 (18 T20Is played at the venue)
Record of the chasing teams: Won – 4; Lost 13; NR – 1
