In Group B, Oman and Nigeria will be crossing swords in the first match of the sixth day in the T20 World Cup qualifiers. Oman brushed aside hosts UAE and then decimated Hong Kong, but tasted their first defeat at the hands. Their next match is versus Nigeria, who lost their two matches versus Jersey and Canada. In the second game, Canada and Ireland are scheduled to face each other.
Both teams have started with two victories in their first three encounters and have been tough to beat. Hence, the contest is expected to be a thriller. Jersey and Hong Kong will be a part of the last game of the day. Jersey must be brimming with confidence following their triumph over the UAE. On the other hand, Hong Kong, have looked clueless thus far, losing all their first three encounters.
Pitch Report
Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi
Seven matches have been played at the venue so far out of which, the team, batting second have come out trumps five times. The pitch has been decent for batting, but scoring regular boundaries can be tough due to the dimensions of the field. Spinners will have their say on the strip.
Sheikh Zayed Stadium Nursery 1, Abu Dhabi
The track at the venue has helped the team, batting first as all three matches went in its favour. Batting second can be a tad tricky. Also, barring one match, the chasing sides have found it tough to play in the early morning games. As the day progresses, chasing becomes an easier task.
Weather Report
The weather in Abu Dhabi will be warm with the temperature around the 34 degrees Celsius mark. There are no chances of rain with the humidity in the 40s and 50s. In the night game, there might be a bit of dew, thereby making it tough for the bowlers.
