The 2016 edition of the ICC U19 World Cup will be held in Bangladesh from 27 January to 14 February. Over the years, this tournament has been the launch pad for many international stars and future Test captains. A total of 48 matches will be played in the 20-day tournament across eight venues. The tournament will feature the 10 full members, alongside six of the leading Associate and Affiliate teams: Afghanistan, Canada, Namibia, Scotland, Fiji and Nepal.
20 matches will be broadcast live across the globe making this edition of the tournament the most televised in ICC U19 World Cup history. The format of the competition is such that the 16 teams have been divided into four groups with the top two teams progressing to the Super League quarter-finals while the two bottom teams from each group qualify for the Plate Championship quarter-finals.
