Heather Knight starred against Thailand with an unbeaten hundred as England registered their first win of the ongoing Women’s ICC T20 World Cup. England Women came into this match after losing their first match against South Africa. Both their openers were dismissed for a duck by the time Knight walked to bat on Wednesday against Thailand.

She rescued the innings by scoring 108* from 66 deliveries with 13 fours and four maximums. Knight shared an unbeaten 169-run stand for the 3rd wicket with Natalie Sciver (59*) as England ended up 176/2. They won the game by 98 runs after restricting Thailand to 78/7.

All the stats and records from Heather Knight’s unbeaten century in the Women’s T20 World Cup:

1 – Heather Knight is now the first female player to score a century in all three formats of International Cricket. Knight scored 157 against Australia in the 2013 Wormsley Test and 106 during the 2017 World Cup game against Pakistan.

A total of 16 players have scored a hundred in all three formats in Internationals across Men’s and Women’s cricket but Heather Knight is the first player from England with this feat.

1 – Knight is also the first player from England to score a century in a Women’s T20 World Cup match. Charlotte Edwards’ 80 against Bangladesh in the 2014 WT20 was the previous highest score for England Women in the tournament. Overall, she is the 4th player with a century in this tournament after Meg Lanning (126 in 2014), Deandra Dottin (112* in 2010) and Harmanpreet Kaur (103 in 2018).

2 – Heather Knight is now only the 2nd player to score centuries in both ODI and T20 World Cups (Men/Women). Meg Lanning was the first to achieve this feat with scores of 126 in 2014 WT20 and 152* in 2017 ODI CWC.

Chris Gayle, Brendon McCullum, Mahela Jayawardene, Suresh Raina, Deandra Dottin and Harmanpreet Kaur are the other players with centuries in both ODI and T20 World Cups.

4 – Knight has four fifty-plus scores in her T20I career with all of them scored at the Manuka Oval in Canberra only. All the four scores in excess of 50 came across 8 innings at this venue. She is now the first player with four 50+ scores in Women’s T20Is at a single venue.

4 – All the four 50+ T20I scores of Knight in Canberra came across the last 4 innings – 108*, 78, 67, 51. She is now the first player in the history of T20I cricket (Men/Women) with four consecutive 50+ scores at a venue.

108* – Heather Knight is now the first England player across Men’s or Women’s cricket to score a T20I hundred as a captain. Charlotte Edwards’ unbeaten 92 in the 2014 Hobart T20I against Australia was the previous highest by an England skipper in T20I history. She is overall the 4th England Woman to score a hundred in the T20I format.

1060 – Knight completed 1000 runs in the T20I format with the first of the four maximums she hit in this match. She is now the 7th player to complete 1000 runs in Women’s T20I cricket for England.
