Preview:

Ireland Women, who stands among the favourites to win this tournament, kick-started their campaign with a win. They defeated Namibia by seven wickets during the only match that was not affected by the rain on opening day. After putting Namibia to bat first, the Irish team came up with a tight bowling effort. Namibia could only make 83/9 despite playing out their 20 overs.

Ireland did lose a couple of early wickets but the target is too less to threaten a defeat. They finished the chase with 33 balls to spare. They will now take on the Netherlands on Sunday who began the competition with a big defeat. Rain cut down the game to 9 overs each. The Dutch Women had no ways and time to recover against Thailand who finished with 76/0 in the restricted overs.

Weather Condition/Report:

Forthill is expected to be clear for the most part in the afternoon. The weather forecast does predict the possibility of rains between 11 AM and 7 PM. However, it is expected to come down as a drizzle on Sunday afternoon.

Pitch Condition/Report:

Scores of 110-130 are expected during this game between Ireland and the Netherlands. The venue is used for the first time for a professional match. Since this is the 2nd match to be played on the same pitch, it could remain on the slower side in the 2nd innings.
