Two teams that didn’t have the ideal start to the tournament, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka, will face each other in the 7th match of World Cup 2019. While the Afghans might not have started well, the way they fought against Australia was impressive. Australia had to fight hard for the win and it was by no means a cakewalk. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, failed to put up a fight. All their batsmen succumbed to the New Zealand bowlers resulting in a 10-wicket loss.

As both these team head into this crucial fixture, there isn’t much that differentiates them. But looking at the performance in their respective previous game, Afghanistan might have a slight advantage. The last time these two sides met during the Asia Cup 2018, Afghanistan emerged triumphs with a 91-run win. The upcoming contest, though, could be an evenly fought one with a resurgent Sri Lankan team trying to claim their stake back.

Here we bring you the Dream11 Fantasy team based on the stats of the players:

Wicketkeepers:

Amongst the keepers, you might want to pick Mohammad Shahzad and Kusal Mendis in your team. Compared to Kusal Perera, these two have much better figures. Although they comprise 18 credits together, it could end up being great picks even if one of them fires given that they are highly talented and could be lethal once they get their eye in. You can take a chance by selecting Mendis as the vice-captain of your side.

Batsmen:

There are several great options you can choose from the batsmen’s category. But it is preferable to refrain to just three as there are also great all-rounders available in both these sides. Rahmat Shah and Najibullah Zadran have been the best in the Afghanistan team when you look at the stats in the last five ODIs. These two have almost scored the same number of runs and performed consistently. From the Sri Lankan team, you can go for their skipper Dimuth Karunaratne who was the lone warrior for them in the last game.

All-Rounders:

Mohammad Nabi scored 140 runs and picked up 3 wickets in the last five ODIs. There are quite a few left-handers in the opposition and he could be quite effective. The other all-rounder whom you can consider is Gulbadin Naib who scored 55 runs and even picked up 12 wickets. He could also be the captain of your team. From Sri Lanka, Dhananjaya de Silva is your best bet. He picked up 5 wickets and did a decent job with the bat.

Bowlers:

Aftab Alam, who picked up the most wickets in the last five ODIs, might not play this game. Thus, you could opt for Rashid Khan from the Afghanistan team. Similar is the case with Sri Lanka where Nuwan Pradeep and Jeffrey Vandersay might be benched. So the best options that you’ve got are Lasith Malinga and Suranga Lakmal.

Final Fantasy team:
