ICC World Cup 2019: What to expect from Afghanistan in the tournament?
If conditions favour, Afghanistan can punch above their weight.

Matches with 50-50 chance for Afghanistan:
Afghanistan has a fair chance of defeating India, Pakistan and New Zealand. They will face India on a flat deck at Southampton but India’s batting can be vulnerable against leg-spinners like Rashid Khan. It is fair to say that Afghanistan’s chances rely on Rashid in this fixture. The warm-up match showed the 12th Test nation can beat Pakistan in favourable conditions.
If Afghans bat second against their neighbours, they can replicate the success of the practice match. Their game against the Kiwis will be hosted by Taunton which has conditions similar to that of sub-continent tracks. The Blackcaps aren’t best on tracks that have minimal help for the pacers which was once again proved in the warm-up games as they ran through India on a green track and struggled to contain Windies in Bristol which produced bit off movement but not for more than 7-8 overs.
