The iconic victory of India during the NatWest series finals in 2002 at the Lord’s is one of the country’s most cheered moments. Another thing which no one can forget is the picture of then India skipper Sourav Ganguly removing his jersey and weaving it from the balcony of Lord’s.

However, the former Indian skipper feels that if Virat Kohli manages to win the 2019 edition of the World Cup, he will walk on the Oxford Street with the trophy, shirtless. Ganguly was present at a book launch along with Virat Kohli where he expressed his views on the same.

Kohli will walk shirt-less after winning the trophy

Ganguly suggested that the cameramen should be ready as the Indian skipper will be ready to flaunt his six packs. “I can guarantee you now if he wins the World Cup final at Lord’s in 2019. We better got our cameras ready, as he’s got the six packs, I would not be surprised if he’s on the Oxford Street with the Trophy and his shirt off,” said Ganguly.

Ganguly was quick to point out who else from the team can join his skipper and named Hardik Pandya as the player who will walk along with him. “And I can tell you who will be following him – Hardik Pandya,” said Ganguly. Kohli too was quick to give his thought on Pandya and said that Pandya will join him 120 percent.

Kohli further added that there will be other members who can join the two as there are a number of players who have got the six packs. “I don’t think it will only be me because there will be a lot of people with six packs in the team. We will all be roaming shirtless. Hardik Pandya, there’s Bumrah as well. We have got a few candidates,” said the 29-year-old Kohli.

Kohli is set to captain the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 11th edition of the tournament in the search of their first-ever IPL trophy.
