Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim has expressed that he does not want to become Salman Khan of his team. Imad is one of the brightest all-rounders for the Men in Green right now. His ability to bowl tight lines in the middle overs and then tonk the ball with the bat in hand has made him one of the most dependable players for the team.

Like many aspiring players from the country, Imad also wanted to emulate Wasim Akram but he didn’t have the pace his coaches were looking for. The switch to become a left-arm spinner has worked wonders for him. He was a part of the Youth World Cup that Pakistan won in 2006 and also led the side in the next edition. But it wasn’t until 2015 when the senior team was searching a replacement for the suspended Saeed Ajmal, that Imad got his shot at international cricket.

I don’t want to get married soon

Recently, the 28-year-old made it clear to his fans that he has no intentions of getting married anytime soon. Pakistan journalist Fazeela Saba questioned him candidly about his marriage on her sports show and asked him whether he wants to become Salman Khan of the Pakistan team by not marrying. The cricketer only smiled in reply and said that he is not aiming become like the renowned Bollywood actor.

The journalist took to social media to unveil the funny truth about of the star player. However, the question thrown to him was funny enough which also proves that Salman has quite a following in Pakistan.

Here is the tweet:

Imad is currently enjoying his time off the field after the competitive series against the World XI side which was played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. He played well in all the games and was dependable throughout the series which the home team won by 2-1.

He has played 26 ODIs so far in his career and has scored 463 runs at a decent average of 37.27 and has also picked 26 wickets at an economy of 4.63 which proves his all-round ability. He is yet to make his Test debut and would love to contribute for Pakistan in whites as well.
