Make no mistake, Australia inflicts nervous hours of domination into the minds of the opposition in their backyard. Pakistan were the latest victim to have received the beating at the hands of Australia. The hosts cracked a slew of shots with the bat, weaved the magic with the ball and tormented the visitors in all facets of the game and in fact, the ferocity, intensity and aggression exhibited by Australia are result-oriented.

The Azhar Ali-led side was nowhere close to posing a threat to Australia as they lost the T20I series and Test series. Babar Azam was the only positive for Pakistan as he remained consistent by piling up runs throughout the tour. In the wake of team’s sub-standard performance in the overseas conditions, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders want the team to go back to the drawing board.

The senator Faisal Javed Khan on Wednesday was quoted as saying by Geo Pakistan that Prime Minister Imran Khan will now pay some attention towards cricket after the team suffered an ignominy against the Aussies. Faisal also added that Imran could not focus on sports as he made it clear that he was actually busy with other important works like stabilising the economy and strengthening the institutions, which were already in shambles.

The PTI senator stated that his party will give absolutely everything to try to fix cricket through a long-term policy. The PTI leaders have also held some important discussions on the most recent decisions taken by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) over the national team.

Azhar Ali’s appointment as Pakistan Test captain was not correct, feels senator Faisal Javed Khan

Faisal, while talking about the most recent appointment of Azhar Ali as the Test captain had told that he was not the right man to lead the team from the vanguard keeping in mind that he has had a history of failures. “Appointing Azhar Ali as  Test captain was not the right decision as he has failed in the past,” Faisal Khan said.

He added that Pakistan has always surrendered at the hands of Australia. However, such poor performance was not at all expected from the players of the highest level. They lacked enough teeth and firepower to challenge the Aussies and sadly, they couldn’t win even a single game in the tour. Pakistan will next face Sri Lanka in the two-match Test series at home.
