IND vs AFG: Shikhar Dhawan has a hilarious reply to Harbhajan Singh's cheeky tweet

Shikhar Dhawan ripped apart the inexperienced bowling line-up of Afghanistan on the first day of the historic Test match in Bengaluru. He slammed an 87-ball ton in the first session itself and became the first ever Indian to reach the three-figure mark before lunch on the first day of a Test. Much like others, Harbhajan Singh congratulated him on his ton and cheekily reminded him that the Indian Premier League (IPL) season has come to an end. However, Shikhar Dhawan came up with a stunning response to take the conversation further.

India amassed 158 runs in 27 overs until lunch on the back of the sensational batting from their left-handed opener. He was dismissed eventually on 107 runs soon after the resumption by Yamin Ahmadzai and became the first ever victim of Afghanistan in the longest format of the game.

Shikhar Dhawan went on to smash 19 fours and three sixes during his stay in the middle and added 168 runs for the opening wicket with Murali Vijay. Despite India lost the wickets late in the day, it was due to his knock that they finished on top. Dhawan was in the similar form during the IPL while playing for the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Harbhajan Singh reminded him that the T20 extravaganza was over in his congratulatory message.

However, Dhawan was quick enough to respond in a cheeky manner to his former India teammate and went on to say that he completed his desire of hitting the ton which he couldn’t in the IPL. “IPL mein nahi bani uska hisaab yahan poora kar diya,” his reply read.
