This 2nd T20I match between India and Sri Lanka was the mirror image of 1st T20I if we consider team’s performances in both the games. In 2nd T20I match, Sri Lanka won the toss and invited India to bat first and Indian openers got off to a flier. Shikhar Dhawan has made his maiden T20I fifty while with handy contributions from Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina and Hardik Pandya, India managed to set a target of 197 runs against Sri Lanka which was above par on Ranchi’s slow pitch. For Sri Lanka, Thisara Perera achieved a unique milestone for himself and took a hat-trick while other Sri Lanka bowlers struggled against Indian batsmen.

While chasing the target, Sri Lanka started badly and lost three wickets when their score was 16 runs but Dinesh Chandimal, C Kapugedera and M Siriwardana tried their best but Indian bowlers bowled really well and helped them grab the match and give themselves a chance to win the series. For India, Ravi Ashwin took three wickets while Nehra, Bumrah and Jadeja took two wickets each.
