After suffering an unsavory defeat against India in the second T20I, Bangladesh have now found themselves into even more trouble. With the T20I series on the line, Mahmudullah and his troops have been hit by double injury blow ahead of the final T20I against India.

Bangladesh’s all-rounder Mosaddek Hossain and speedster Mustafizur Rahman have suffered injuries and are doubtful to be included in the starting squad against India. Both the players could not able to practice due to their injuries on Saturday in Nagpur. Mosaddek failed to do neither bowling nor batting in the practice session. Similarly, Mustafizur also was absent from the practice session.

Mosaddek, due to his groin injury, is highly unlikely to start in the third T20I. On the other hand, Mustafizur’s chances of getting into the starting squad also look slim due to the left-arm pacer’s ankle injury. Moreover, he has not been successful to scalp wickets for his team in the first team T20Is against India. As the pitch in Nagpur is favorable to spinners, the visitors are expected to include a spinner in the starting line-up.

Bangladesh likely to bring in Taijul Islam

Bangladesh are expected to give a chance to the left-arm spinner Taijul Islam. The 27-year-old has played only T20Is in his career yet and has scalped one wicket. To script their name into the record books, the final T20I in a must-win encounter for Bangladesh. The visiting side would be hoping to clinch their first series win in India.

Bangladesh started off the series in style by stunning the Men in Blue by seven wickets. However, Rohit Sharma and his troops bounced back in the second T20I and will be hoping to finish things off in style. Indian skipper Rohit will also be eager to replicate his match-winning performance of the second T20I. The Men in Blue have an upper hand to carry their momentum and seal the series win in the final T20I.

After inspecting the wicket again in the afternoon on Sunday, Bangladesh will finalize their starting squad by keeping in mind the condition of their players, confirmed Bangladesh’s coach.
