Suryakumar Yadav made a stunning start to his career in international cricket. After earning a recall for toiling more than a decade in domestic cricket and not getting a chance to bat on his debut before being dropped for the following game, the right-handed batsman finally got a chance to bat during the fourth T20I of the ongoing series against England.

Unlike on his debut, Suryakumar was promoted in the batting order during the fourth game and he made the most of it. On his very first ball in international cricket, the Mumbai star slammed Jofra Archer for a six and there was no looking back after that. He played his shots all around the park and took the England bowlers to the cleaners.

In a game where big names like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli failed to deliver, Suryakumar led India’s charge with the bat. The 30-year old scored a 28-ball fifty and was out for 57. His knock came off 31 balls and was studded with 6 fours and three sixes. His impressive fifty helped India post 185 for 8 and win the game by 8 runs to keep the series alive.

Suryakumar Yadav relives his debut knock:

It looks like not only the fans but Suryakumar Yadav is also finding it tough to get over his impressive fifty on his debut innings in international cricket. A day after his special knock, a video surfaced on social media in which he could be seen enjoying his shots while watching the highlights of his innings on his mobile phone.

He was also dressed in his India kit while watching the video. His better half Devisha Shetty was recording the video of the batsman watching his innings. She also took a cheeky jibe at her husband. In the video, Devisha is heard asking Suryakumar if he was watching the match again, to which the batsman replied saying that he was reliving his boundaries and maximums.

“This guy is crazy. After every match, he comes and he watches the match again on his phone or TV. Mad,”  said Devisha.
