Preview

Nothing much has changed for South Africa from the last time they toured India. This time though, this inexperienced team is yet to find the right balance for the subcontinent conditions. The players that the selectors have backed to come good have largely disappointed overburdening one or two other players. To make this much worse, the Proteas have been hit by a couple of injuries as they move to the beautiful city of Ranchi in the northern part of India. To put things into perspective, the visitors seem to come nowhere near to a rampant Indian team.

The hosts have been playing some truly fabulous cricket at home. Winning 11 series in a row show the way they’ve been dominating the oppositions. A majority of the teams haven’t been able to decode the spin mantra and thus have struggled. With a bowling unit capable of picking 20 wickets without really breaking a sweat, Virat Kohli will look to clean sweep the visitors and register yet another one of those memorable victories.

Weather Report

The conditions in Ranchi don’t seem to be highly encouraging ahead of this Test match. There is a rain prediction on each of the five days of this Test match. Naturally, the humidity will be on the higher side and there will be a cloud cover on all the five days. There is a possibility that we might miss out on a lot of action in this game.

Pitch Condition/Report:

The pitch that will be used for this game is reported to be quite dry. Thus, it is expected to assist the spinners and will be another stern test for the visitors. However, with the overcast conditions, there might be something on offer for the bowlers as well with the new ball. Reverse swing might come into play in the later parts of an innings.

Injury and Availability News:

Aiden Markram is ruled out of the third Test after a self-inflicted wrist injury. Keshav Maharaj also will not play this game due to a shoulder injury. George Linde has been called up to replace Maharaj.

From South Africa, Faf du Plessis and Quinton de Kock are the best bets for your Dream11 Fantasy side.

Expert Advice:

You must go for Quinton de Kock ahead of Wriddhiman Saha in your Dream11 Fantasy team as he is the more likely wicket-keeper to bat in both the innings of this Test match. Moreover, there aren’t many options available in the bowling department and credits will be an issue. Thus, it is recommended to make necessary changes once the teams are out.

Probable Winners:

India is expected to win this match and make it a clean sweep.
